The KenGen PLC invites sealed tenders for REDESIGN, MANUFACTURE, INSTALLATION &
COMMISSIONING OF TURBINE SHAFT SEAL FOR KIAMBERE POWER STATION
1.
Tendering will be conducted under Open International Tendering Method using a
standardized tender document. Tendering is open to all qualifified and interested Tenderers.

Qualifified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents during
offifice hours between 8am and 5pm starting at the date of advert at the office of:

The document can be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.kengen.co.ke and/or on
Eprocurement https://eprocurement.kengen.co.ke:50001/irj/portal . Tenderers who download the
tender document must forward their particulars immediately to (tenders@kengen.co.ke , 0711036000
and P.O.BOX 47936-00100 postal address) to facilitate any further clarification or addendum

Bidders who are unable to download the tender documents from the website may collect them from any
KenGen Supply Chain Office upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KShs.1, 000.00 paid via Mpesa,
pay bill no. 400200 and account no. 01120069076000, then share the MPesa message to KenGen
Finance office staff for receipt and issuance of official receipt or through a banker’s cheque and payable to
the address given below

All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of KSh.500,000 as part of the bid document and
shall be subject to authentication by KenGen and MUST be submitted in a plain sealed envelope and
clearly marked : KGN-HYD-24-2023- TENDER FOR REDESIGN, MANUFACTURE, INSTALLATION &
COMMISSIONING OF TURBINE SHAFT SEAL FOR KIAMBERE POWER STATION and addressed to:
General Manager, Supply Chain,
Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC,
Ground Floor, KenGen Pension Plaza I, Kolobot Road, Parklands,
P.O. Box 47936, 00100 NAIROBI.
The Original Tender Security clearly labeled should be dropped at the tender box located on Ground
Floor at KenGen, RBS building on or before tender closing date.
Electronic tender securities are acceptable and shall be authenticated through the use of the QR scanner.

There shall be a Mandatory Site Visit on 2nd June, 2023 at Gitaru and Kiambere Power Stations starting
at 10.00 a.m.
Completed Tender must be submitted online on or before: 15-June-2023 at 2.00pm
Electronic submission shall be permitted through our e-procurement platform found at
www.kengen.co.ke (https://eprocurement.kengen.co.ke:50001/irj/portal. Internet Explorer and
Firefox Mozilla are the preferred web browsers.
